Online Presence

I create an online portfolio of my work using Wix. I am not usually a big fan of template websites, this is just a short-term solution. The website shows a selection of my work, a page about me and a link to download my CV. And also includes a contact page with links to my Behance, Twitter and Instagram.

Resigned my blog to match my branding. I think it is important to keep everything consistent, to show strength is my personal brand.

I updated my Behance with some of my latest work. I think that Behance is a great way to share your work.  There is room to be much more detailed about your designs and process.

I finally got around to creating a sperate design Instagram account. Previously I would combine images of my work on my personal account among my other pictures. I think that having a separate account is much more professional. It also separates my design side from my personal life. Instagram is a great way to get your work seen and find designers. Through Instagram, I was able to find loads of new design studios and magazines.

- Me as a designer now and how things have changed
-Explain each point

- What I gained from level 4
- Figuring out what graphic design is
- I learnt how to use illustrator and InDesign
- Got to try screen printing for the first time
- Had a lack of confidence in my designs

- Some examples of level 4 work

- What I gained from level 5
- Discovered that I really loved editorial design
and that it was something I would like to pursue
in the future
- Stepped away from working with digital all the
time and experimented with a more hands
on approach
- Got to work collaboratively for the first time.
seeing what it's like to work with other people
was great practice for the future

- Examples of level 5 work

 - Level 6 so far
- Time management has always been a big problem
for me, so this year I really tried to organise my
time efficiently so that I was able to manage all
of my modules and briefs
- Picking my own briefs allowed me to be more
independence as a designer. And setting your
own deadlines mean I had to be more self
motivative
- Communicating with studios and other designers
had always been a fear of mine for some
reason. But this year I contacted some studios
and it wasn't as intimidating as I thought

 - Examples of level 6 work

- Two week placement at London Fashion Agency
over easter.
- I will be helping them with branding projects and
to design their website

- LFA work with building fashion brands
- Fashion is an interest of mine and I thought
they would be perfect for me.

- Milo the office dog! (best perk of the job)

- After uni I want to move to London.
- I have always loved the city
- A lot of the magazines I am interested in are
based in London

- I was in contact with tank magazine and they
said to email they once i finish uni to
organise a summer placement.

- The graphic thought facility

- Wonderland magazine
- Two times elliott

- Go on to study for my MA
- I have always wanted to start my own magazine
- I have a few zine projects on the go this year
which I plan on keeping on going with.
